Are you a tech-savvy professional excited to work with cutting-edge security systems? Our client, a leading security services provider in Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, is hiring a Technical Support Specialist for a 3-month term (covering a leave) with potential for extension or future opportunities.
In this role, you’ll support and optimize security systems for internal staff and clients, handle technical support, assist with system configurations, and contribute to projects enhancing efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and System Coordinators by setting up new computers/servers, preparing specifications, and submitting technical drawings.
- Provide remote and on-site technical support to clients and field technicians, including setting up access and CCTV systems, managing passwords, and compiling support documents.
- Support the sales team with technical insights for quotes and proposals.
- Manage software like TeamViewer, perform maintenance tasks, troubleshoot field systems, and evaluate new system implementations.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in systems support, installation, or service (TQ certification or equivalent preferred).
- Expertise in security systems, including Keyscan, ICT, Kantech, Avigilon, Axis, Genetec, and DSC.
- Strong technical skills paired with exceptional customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective multitasking, deadline management, and clear communication skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work and currently reside in Canada
