Reporting to the HR & Recruitment Manager and as a key member of the Talent Acquisition team, you will take charge of the company’s recruitment processes and performance. Your expertise will play a crucial role in their continued growth by attracting and hiring top talent.
This is an 8-month contract and if you land the role and love the work, there is potential for an extension. This is a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the entire recruitment process, from screening to contract documentation, ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Recruit seasonal employees
- Manage relationships with external partners, including universities, job boards, and Indigenous and local communities
- Train and support hiring managers to foster a top-class recruitment culture
- Attract and select high-quality talent using diverse techniques
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in fast-paced internal recruitment
- Recruiting experience in the natural resource industry (mining, forestry, oil, gas, engineering) is ideal
- Previous experience working with Indigenous communities is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and reduce time to hire
- Strong communication, interpersonal and rapport-building skills
- Proactive and eager to learn
- Collaborative working style with the ability to work independently on own initiative
