Job Description
Join a young, dynamic not-for-profit in this 1-2-month temporary assignment starting ASAP (with the possibility of an extension). This is an all-encompassing role in which you’ll become the go-to person for the CEO including assisting with a wide variety of administrative tasks and supporting some Board activities.
This organization is supported by industry, academia and government and uses scientific expertise and an innovative methodology to help small and medium-sized healthcare companies create digital solutions to meet the needs of their customers. They also help train the next generation of talent to be more effective contributors to the workforce! They operate on a hybrid model, with staff working part of the week remotely and part of the week from their office in downtown Vancouver, (near the Skytrain, West Coast Express, and bus transit). The office space is available to staff 5 days a week if they choose.
Key Responsibilities
- Calendar scheduling and management
- Preparing, proofread and edit a variety of internal and external correspondence and communications
- Coordinate complex travel arrangements and itineraries
- Assist with meeting arrangements, coordinate meeting logistics internally and externally including preparing materials and setting up presentations
- Communicate with Board members and other stakeholders on behalf of CEO
- Coordinate Committee meetings both on-site and off-site
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of administrative support experience
- Experience supporting upper-level management is ideal
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Strong organization skills and the ability to juggle competing tasks seamlessly
- Ability to take direction and work on own initiative
