Job Description
A major BC employer serving 21 Municipalities, one Electoral Area, and one treaty First Nation, is seeking a highly organized and extremely detail-oriented professional to step into this fantastic Senior Administrator position.
This exciting role provides a variety of support to the company’s Project department and will ultimately contribute to the successful design, construction and commission of some of the region’s biggest projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Track, coordinate and facilitate department activities and communicate status and deadlines with staff
- Manage, maintain and compile a variety of records, files, documents and spreadsheets for the department
- Oversee new employee set-ups including managing security keys and employee expense claims
- Develop and implement streamlined office procedures, maintain documentation on procedures
- Prepare, type, edit and format a variety of correspondence, agendas, permits, notices and other documents
- Act as point of contact for staff and the public on inquiries and information on departmental matters
- Assist with coordinating and arranging logistics for meetings, events, seminars and workshops, including distributing meeting materials, taking minutes and carrying out action items
- Monitor departmental admin budget, look into variances and take action as needed.
- May oversee and supervise other staff members as required.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
- Completion of Grade 12 and relevant post-secondary courses in business, administration or computer courses; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Strong computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a service-oriented approach
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to stay organized while juggling competing priorities to meet tight deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required
