We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist for our client’s head office in Cloverdale, BC. The right candidate will be reporting directly to the Director of Administration and Finance while performing relevant HR duties.

This role is on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, offering flexibility to adjust hours. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to commute to their Cloverdale office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment process for fulltime and temporary employees in Canada and the US.
  • Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to manage hiring requirements, develop job descriptions, resolve performance issues, conduct investigations, and offer comprehensive HR support as needed.
  • Create, implement, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on legal and regulatory HR requirements to offer accurate guidance to management and staff.
  • Compile and present reports on HR-related key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify opportunities for HR-related grants and manage the application process.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as directed by the directors of various managerial and administrative departments

Qualifications

  • The right candidate will hold a graduate degree in human resources and a CHRP designation.
  • Bring at least 3 years of recent experience in HR within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook) and other apps.
  • Experience in carrying out and presenting HR-related presentations in a team meeting setup.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal abilities, able to adjust to diverse personalities, effectively manage conflicts, and exhibit cultural sensitivity.
