The HRIS Analyst maintains and updates information in the HRIS system and uses system data to prepare reports and documentation. They will use their sound knowledge to assist and advise on various HR-related activities such as benefits, pensions, and collective agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain user and system manuals
- Review existing procedures, provide recommendations for improvements
- Work with IT to implement small- and large-scale system changes, communicate changes to relevant departments
- Perform internal and external data audits, validate data entries and maintain related control logs, diaries and records
- Prepare and distribute reports as requested
- Prepare documentation for new employees or for changes to existing employee lifecycles
- Calculate and code benefits, track probationary hours, obtain payroll history
- Initiates notices for increments, performance appraisals, benefit plan enrollments and related activities, see through to completion
- Other duties related to HR functions and initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in HR or payroll data processing using a major online payroll/HR system
- Diploma or certificate in HR
- Considerable working knowledge of HRIS systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion when handling confidential matters/information
- Proof of vaccinations required
