Junior HR Recruiter – Hybrid

Job Description

A dynamic and vibrant not-for-profit organization has an exciting opening for a compassionate and personable Junior HR Recruiter. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a truly wonderful company that gives back to local communities and families.

As the HR Recruiter, you will be a vital member of the HR team responsible for growing and strengthening their talent pool. Your primary focus will be on full-cycle recruitment, including developing compelling job descriptions, creating engaging job postings, defining selection criteria, conducting interviews, and ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed.

This is an 18-month contract with a hybrid work model, operating Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR, Management, and Leadership teams to develop and source key candidates
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent for competitive searches
  • Build and maintain talent pools by nurturing relationships with top talent and external sources
  • Manage candidate information and grow talent pipeline
  • Handle full-cycle recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Write, compile and maintain HR recruitment documentation and materials
  • Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment-related learning and development programs for leadership and management
  • Help establish an employee training system for recruitment and retention needs
  • Monitor wage and salary structure for equity and conduct pay studies
  • Recommend changes in benefits to attract, satisfy, and retain employees

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of human resources experience, including full-cycle recruitment
  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources
  • To hold or be actively pursuing a CPHR designation is an asset
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with HRIS and payroll software is an asset
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player who can work independently and take direction
  • Criminal record check required
