Job Description

Our client in Vancouver is looking for an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to join their HR Department on a contract that will last up until the end of August 2022. This is an independent, self-funded organization that oversees the safe installation and operation of technical systems and equipment across the province.

The HR Coordinator will provide administrative support to the HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition in areas such as recruitment, talent management, and labour and employee relations.

The ideal candidate will have an up-beat, go-getter attitude, as well as a keen sense of initiative. Previous recruitment/HR coordination experience is an asset but is not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the recruitment and selection processes, including but not limited to preparing and posting job adverts, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing offer letters
  • Manage, maintain and update all information pertaining to the recruitment process, employees, labour relations and HR projects in the ATS and file management system
  • Promote the company’s employer brand and broaden the candidate pool by liaising with external partners and staying up-to-date on recruitment events
  • Manage and respond to career inquiries
  • Participate in various HR initiatives and projects where required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in HR coordination or recruitment desireable
  • Diploma or degree in human resources
  • Database experience, including HR systems and ATS
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Great time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information
  • Experience working in a unionized environment an asset
  • Working towards CPHR designation an asset
