In this role, you will be assessing the creditworthiness of applicants, ensuring financial health by managing and monitoring incoming payments, and providing administrative support to the Credit Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Review credit reports to assess creditworthiness
- Analyze payment histories, debt rations and credit scores to assess risk
- Evaluate collateral offered as security for lines of credit
- Based on assessments, make recommendations on credit approvals and refusals
- Record and post payments received from customers
- Receive and review payment remittances, investigate discrepancies
- Follow up with customers on past-due invoices
- Assist with the administration and maintenance of credit files
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in collections/credit analysis
- Strong proficiency with accounting software, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with ERPs (such as Epicor) is a big asset
- A focus on accuracy and thoroughness
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- A customer-centric approach
- Great organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
