Job Description

Our client, a busy downtown Vancouver law firm, is seeking three Legal Administrative Assistants to join its Floater Resource Team! This is an excellent opportunity to expand your legal skills in a vibrant and team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and transcribe legal documents, pleadings and correspondence
  • Address and direct client inquiries
  • Organize meetings and schedule trials, discoveries and other court dates
  • Maintain physical and e-filing systems
  • Prepare monthly accounts
  • Conduct searches
  • Provide additional support to lawyers during periods of vacation
  • Other general administrative support as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant
  • Completion of an accredited LAA program
  • Fantastic computer skills including strong keyboarding abilities and proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • High level of organization with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet competing deadlines
