Job Description

Are you ready to join a leading organization in the metals distribution industry? Our client, a leading Canadian company in value-added processing and metal distribution, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their Delta, BC team.

This is a full-time, permanent position that offers excellent opportunities for growth and development. In this role, you’ll oversee daily warehouse operations and lead your team to ensure the warehouse is running safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and safety standards. If you’re experienced in managing employee performance in a unionized environment, ensuring productivity, and keeping safety a top priority, this could be the perfect fit for you

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and preserve good labor and employee relations.
  • Make sure that the collective agreement and corporate standards are followed by employees.
  • Supervise swift and effective loading and unloading of trucks entering and leaving the area.
  • Organize departmental efforts and oversee trucking schedules to achieve branch and production targets.
  • Make sure materials are processed according to client specifications and that inventories are accurate.
  • Maintain productivity and equipment uptime while ensuring the workplace is tidy, orderly, and safe.
  • Enforce health and safety laws, conduct workplace assessments, and place reliable safety precautions.

 

Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated the ability to lead in a unionized workplace.
  • Expertise in accident investigation, hazard control, and worker safety.
  • Strong computer abilities, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • The candidate should have the capacity to successfully prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both vocal and written.
  • It is advantageous to be acquainted with safety regulations and warehouse management software.

Good to Have:

  • Familiarity with processing machines and overhead cranes, among other warehouse technology and equipment.

What's In It For You

Our client is willing to offer a competitive salary ranging from of $70,000 - $85,000 with additional benefits such as profit-sharing plan, comprehensive benefits package, pension plan, career development and growth opportunities, incentive, and recognition programs bonus structure and much more.
