Pension Specialist (Hybrid)

Job Description

We are looking for an ideal candidate to work for our client who is located in either Kelowna or Surrey, BC. It’s a full-time, regular position, offering a salary range of $70,000. -$85,000k. The opportunity offers short-term incentive eligibility, and workplace flexibility (up to 85 days/year working remotely from a flex location in BC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer various pension plans (DB, DC, group savings) across union and non-union staff.
  • Maintain pension data in HRIS and 3rd-party systems.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees and retirees.
  • Facilitate pension governance activities and committee meetings.
  • Liaise with external pension administrators and providers.
  • Contribute to system and reporting improvements.
  • Create job aids and documentation to improve processes

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, or similar.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of pension plan administration.
  • Strong Excel skills and HRIS experience.
  • Professional designations like PPAC or CEBS are assets.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
