Litigation LAAs & Paralegals

Permanent, Full-Time

Job Description

We have the the following opportunities available with some small but mighty Vancouver firms:

  • Litigation Paralegals
  • Litigation LAAs

They are looking for highly motivated professionals who take initiative and have a minimum of 3-5 years’ litigation experience for the Paralegal roles and 2 years’ experience in a litigation practice for the LAA positions. ICBC experience is also a big benefit.  

One of the Litigation Paralegal roles will have a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing draft and final documents
  • Assist with examinations for discovery
  • Initial file review and continual organization and management of files or parts of files
  • Conduct, review, and organize due diligence searches
  • Attending to clients to obtain documents to prepare affidavit of documents and production brief
  • Assisting lawyer in preparation for trial
  • Preparing appeal material
  • Other duties as may be directed


  • Paralegal candidates must have solid litigation experience of at least 3-5 years
  • LAA candidates must have 2 years’ experience working in a litigation practice
  • Either the completion of Paralegal education or Legal Assistant certificate from a recognized college
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Thorough, meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Highly autonomous
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
