Our client is a law firm dedicated to delivering excellent business, litigation, and conflict resolution services to clients across Canada and beyond. We are seeking a qualified Legal Administrative Assistant to join their corporate team, which offers the expertise of a large firm while maintaining a small firm feel. The ideal candidate should have strong administrative and organizational skills and should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage legal documents, filing systems, and administrative procedures with precision.
  • Draft, transcribe, and proofread legal documents and correspondence.
  • Schedule and coordinate client meetings, ensuring all calendars are up to date.
  • Oversee file management, including organizing documents, updating binders, and filing.
  • Maintain an active bring-forward system and ensure files are properly managed.
  • Prepare and follow up on billing statements for both monthly and quarterly cycles.
  • Support the legal team in other areas where required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Legal Administrative Assistant (LAA).
  • Proficiency in Word and Outlook; experience with Elite 3E is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and discretion with client information.
