Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening, closing and organizing files
  • Perform corporate, LTO and due diligence searches
  • Use various databases to conduct legal research
  • Preparing, drafting and sending various correspondence including due diligence reports, Real Estate agreements, Land Title Office forms and securities documents
  • Manage intake of documents and-file related materials
  • Maintain calendars and schedule client meetings
  • Meet with clients for client intake, oversee reviewal and signing off of necessary documents
  • Other administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience working as an LAA, some of which must have been in Real Estate law
  • LAA certificate required
  • Experience with BC Online and myLTSA
  • Familiarity with conveyancing is an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word and Outlook)
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle various tasks while prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines
